Herkimer County CARES about kids, and wants
them to be healthy, happy, and safe.

That’s why we’ve created the Herkimer County Youth Violence Prevention Initiative. Our goal is to end youth

violence and bullying. These are serious concerns for kids, parents, school professionals and community members.

Leaders from county government, schools, law enforcement and human services have joined forces to address these issues.

We’ve especially asked Herkimer County high school and college students for their help.

As a result of everyone’s hard work, a plan has been developed to raise awareness about youth violence and bullying. Services have been created to help our kids better understand and deal with these issues at home, at school and in their communities.
