Requirements:
Weight Limits Permit Description:
Seasonal Permit – Applicable to vehicles or a combination of vehicles exceeding a gross weight of 5 tons per axle on County Roads where such limitations are posted.
Divisible Load Permit – Applicable to vehicles or a combination of vehicles exceeding NYSDOT weight and/or dimensional limitations for loads that carry several components (ex. logs, aggregate, machinery/equipment parts, etc.)
Non-Divisible Load Permit – Applicable to vehicles or a combination of vehicles exceeding NYSDOT weight and/or dimensional limitations for loads that carry a single component (ex. Tanks, single piece of machinery, building component, etc.)
When filling out the permit please be sure to fill out the route path indicating roads to be traveled. For vehicles exceeding the weight limitations outlined above provide: gross axle weight for each axle, axle spacing, gross weight of vehicle or combination of vehicles.
For vehicles exceeding NYSDOT dimensional limitations above provide: overall dimensions for the power unit and all trailer combinations, axle spacing's, and turning radius of the vehicle or combination of the vehicle.
